In this informative and interactive full-day session, our expert presenters will guide you through what's new in corporate tax compliance and highlight features in Corporate Taxprep to help you prepare your corporate returns more efficiently.

The session will review some of the tax, form and software changes that have been recently introduced in Corporate Taxprep including the Accelerated Investment Incentive for certain capital assets purchased after November 20, 2018. The course will also serve as a refresher for tax changes that are just starting to become applicable to you including the introduction of Eligible RDTOH account and changes to the taxation of passive investment income effective for taxation years that start after 2018.

You will have the opportunity to preview Corporate Taxprep V.2 (to be released in late November), including a how to get the most out of the enhanced Corporate Taxprep which is replacing the Corporate Taxprep Classic.

The seminar will also provide the opportunity to learn how to use many longstanding tools within Taxprep that will allow you to increase your work efficiency during the busiest tax seasons. We will show you how you can easily transfer data between tax returns of corporations within an associated and related group, how to harness the full power of the Xpress tool and many more tools and tips which will turn you into a Taxprep superuser!

Alan Valihora, CPA, CA

Alan is a Senior Tax Manager at Roth Mosey & Partners LLP, a mid-size accounting firm in Windsor, Ontario. He has been working with the firm since 2011, obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in 2015 and completed CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course in 2017.

Alan provides guidance in the areas of personal and corporate tax planning, estate and succession planning, purchase and sale transactions, corporate restructuring, and assisting with the cross-border tax implications of individuals and corporations with Canadian and U.S. filing requirements.

Alan has a passion for teaching, currently a facilitator in CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course and running the in-house tax professional development at the firm.
